Emerge to Present at Arkansas Seminars
The buzz generated about a more effective way to manage soft tissue injuries continues to spread throughout the transportation industry. This week, we’re in Arkansas, speaking to members of the Arkansas Trucking Association Self-Insurers’ Fund. During separate Loss Prevention seminars in Little Rock and Fort Smith, I will discuss the value of this testing for pre-existing medical conditions.
Called EFA — Electrodiagnostic Functional Assessment — this technology helps detect the age and extent of soft tissue injuries. Used in conjunction with post-injury testing, this simple yet powerful tool has proven invaluable in helping employers manage soft tissue injuries among their workers.
Employees in a variety of industries are vulnerable to soft tissue injuries, especially shoulders and backs. Those in the transportation field are especially prone to them. Unfortunately, they are often misdiagnosed and improperly treated, resulting in delayed recoveries, unnecessary continuation of pain for the worker, and wasteful spending for the employer/ payer.
The noninvasive EFA uses a combination of range-of-motion and functional capacity testing with electromyography sensors placed on various muscle groups to measure them both at rest and in motion. The technology collects the data and objectively evaluates musculoskeletal and soft tissue pathology and functionality.
The accuracy and unbiased results take the guesswork out of treating these injuries. That means workers get appropriate care immediately; resulting in better return-to-work rates, happier workers and lower costs.
Our clients have some tremendous success stories to relate. In addition to hearing from employers about the faster recoveries and dollar savings they’ve seen, we also hear from them stories about their workers and how the EFA-STM program has put them on the path to recovery quickly and easily.
I’m excited to be able to continue sharing our story and hearing more of the great results organizations are having with this program — especially as we prepare for our own !
